"CRISPR Meets Computation: From Sequence Alignment to Curing Disease"
Tuesday, February 10
1-2pm in LCB 215

Abstract: CRISPR genome editing is transforming biology by allowing precise modifications to DNA. In this talk, I will introduce the principles of CRISPR, explain how computational algorithms, particularly sequence alignment methods, are critical for analyzing editing outcomes, and show how large-scale CRISPR screens at the single-cell level are revealing the origins of disease.
