NAME

PSlabels - Print an address file on Avery brand 5360 labels

USAGE

PSlabels infile [repeat-count [labelswitch] [labelswitch] ...]

DESCRIPTION

PSlabels is a shell script interface to labels(1) and lptops(1) to simplify the printing of address labels in multiple columns on commonly-available photocopier or laser printer label paper, in 3 columns and 7 rows.

A default PostScript printer will be selected by PSlabels, unless overridden by the PRINTER environment variable.

For example,

PSlabels foo.lab

will print one label for each address in the file foo.lab.

PSlabels foo.lab 21

will make one sheet of 21 labels for each address in the file foo.lab.

On some laser printers, the label paper does not feed precisely because of its shiny backing. A recommended practice is then to make printed label masters on normal paper, then to photocopy those onto the label paper.
