I grew up in Zagreb, Croatia:

I graduated from the University of Zagreb in October 2018 with a thesis titled "Theta lifts of irreducible representations of the metaplectic group" under the supervision of professor Marcela Hanzer.

About my name

My first name is the equivalent of English Peter. For most people in English-speaking countries, it is relatively hard to pronounce:

IPA     [petɐr bɐkitʃ ]     (the first syllable is stressed)

so I usually go by Peter.*

*This I am completely ok with, because even at home (according to age-old Croatian custom) very few people call me by my first name.
